This wildlife tour in Bardia is a fabulous opportunity to explore the exotic wildlife in its original form. Although, less visited compared to Chitwan National Park. Bardia National Park is situated in the mid-far western region of Nepal. Therefore, it is more isolated and less visited compared to Chitwan National Park. The park is situated on the eastern banks of the Karnali river. The National Park covers an area of 968 sq. km. This National Park is one of the largest National Park in the southern part of Nepal. About 70% of the forest is covered by sal trees. And the remaining 30% is a mixture of riverine, savannah, and grassland. The headquarter of the National Park is at ‘Thakurdwar’.
Bardia Wildlife Reserve was declared as a National Park in 1988. It was declared as a National Park to preserve the decreasing species of its rare ecosystem, unique flora, and fauna. This park is the most undisturbed wilderness area in the Terai region. Thus, providing excellent habitat for most of the endangered species of wildlife. Such as the endangered rhinoceros, Asiatic elephant, the Royal Bengal Tiger, swamp deer, blackbuck, Gharial crocodile, and Gangetic dolphins.

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
Upon arrival at the Kathmandu airport, meet our guide/representative and transfer to the hotel. You have the option to stroll around Thamel and the local streets of Kathmandu, depending on your arrival time. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing-Drive to Nagarkot.
After breakfast, we start our sightseeing tour of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Begin with a visit to the Pashupatinath temple, followed by the Boudhanath Stupa. Then drive to Nagarkot, situated at an altitude of 2175 m on a hilltop. It is about 32 km east of Kathmandu valley. Nagarkot is famous for the view of sunrise and sunset. Besides, it provides a fantastic panoramic Mountain view of Khumbu ranges, Langtang range, Manaslu, Dorje Lakpa, Mt Everest, etc. Overnight in Nagarkot.
Day 3: Fly to Neplagunj-Drive to Bardia National Park
After breakfast, drive to the domestic airport(1.5hrs) and fly to Nepalgunj(1hr). Upon arrival, transfer to the resort at Bardia National Park. After getting refreshed and relaxed, we shall have a short briefing regarding the program. And after lunch, we shall visit the ethnic Tharu village. Here you will learn more about the lifestyle of the Tharu people. Next, visit the park visitors center. In the evening, enjoy the sunset view from the riverbank. There will be a slide show presentation regarding flora and fauna followed by dinner. Overnight in a resort.
Day 4: Bardia National Park(Jungle Activity)
After breakfast, full-day Jungle activity. Begin with a nature walk/jungle walk with an experienced naturalist. We will be back at the resort for lunch, after lunch, we shall embark on a jungle excursion on an open jeep ride, the best way to see wildlife and nature close up. We will also visit the crocodile breeding center and the Tharu Museum. Evening Tharu cultural show followed by dinner. Overnight in a resort.
Day 5: Bardia National Park(Jungle Activity)
Today, we will enjoy Bardia National Park and relax. To watch birds, we will go to the jungle early in the morning. After breakfast, we shall embark on an excursion into the deep & dense jungle on elephant back to experience a better chance of spotting wild animals. In the evening, a cultural program and Western Nepali Tharu dance organized by the villagers. Overnight in resort.
Day 6: Drive to Neplagunj-Fly to Kathmandu
After breakfast, transfer to Nepalgunj airport and fly to Kathmandu.
Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel, and the afternoon is free to pursue your interest. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 7: Departure
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight homewards.

My Name is EDhan from California, America. I am a retired management consultant. Basically, this visit to Nepal exceeded my expectations. We came here through Tibet and Bhutan. Here in Nepal, I like the neighbourhood and friendly people. My wife every day used to go for morning walk and used to tell me the story about the local people, whatever she sees every day. Especially, the guide was most knowledgeable and made it possible and get a sense of not only historical and religious value of some of the places but also some of the other places how the people live over there day to day.
The company was able to manage all the services smoothly and made the memorable trip in Kathmandu. Do not be afraid of Earthquake; the government has done very good job, lots of cleaning up and reconstructions are going on. There are many places to go without facing any problems. Feel free to make a trip to Nepal nothing to afraid of and you will feel the completely different and unique. Hi, My Name is Margo Boston, America. We were planning the trip to visit Nepal Bhutan and Tibet through our local agency. In the beginning, we asked so many questions about safety, especially after the earthquake but we realised that after visiting Nepal it is completely safe & worthful to visit.
We are very glad to see the beautiful country. Everything was perfect and great to see the Hinduism and Buddhism and combinations of religious and cultural aspects in the tiny little city. The trip plan, all the staff activity including cultural show was great.

Hi, My Name is Lori, and I came to do the trip with my daughter. After the earthquake had happened we were confused, what should we do, should we go or should we not go for Nepal Trip and finally we decided to come after the consultation, and we had a wonderful time there. The tour guide and driver and all the staff were done magnificent job. There is so much to see and worthful to visit. The hotel was excellent, the food was great, we enjoyed our time. The Buddhist and Hindu temple were fascinating. Our guide was brilliant and enhanced all experience and knowledge he passed all the knowledge to us and shared the ideas. I encourage you to visit Nepal it is one of the incredible places around the world.

Hi ! This is Palm from America, this is my first trip to Nepal and has been perfect and life time memorable. I have travelled many places around the world and really been looking forward to this trip. Nepal is a very colourful country, I was concerned because of the earthquake and because of the impact might right now. I was pleasantly surprised that yes they did have an impact and there are lots of reconstruction are going on. There are lots of places to see and open for the tourist. The people here are very friendly, all the staffs of Sixth Sense including tour guide and the management and coordination were perfect.
What I like this country is that the culture and diversity of landscape. Besides this Nepal is very vibrant country and colourful country. In the future, I would like to make more trips in Nepal with Sixth Sense spending more time in Kathmandu and it’s surrounding areas and countryside. For the tourist, I would recommend please do visit Nepal with Sixth Sense. Tour Guide and company which was responsible for everything to organise this trip, everything was taken care of all the arrangements were first class.
