Our Best of Nepal Tour begins with a spectacular flight to the lovely city of Pokhara. In Pokhara, we visit Phewa Lake, World Peace Pagoda, Gupteshwar cave, Davis fall, and Tibetan Refugee Centre. While in Pokhara, we get to experience the magic of the Himalayas along with the beautiful sunrise view. Following the visit to Pokhara, we shall fly to Kathmandu. We will visit the ancient city of Bhaktapur, known for its arts, culture, and traditional lifestyles. We will visit the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, 55-window palace, The Pottery Square, Nyatapola Temple, Dattatraya temple, and the Golden gate. In Kathmandu, we shall also visit the Pashupatinath temple, the Kathmandu Durbar Square, and the Swayambunath Temple.

Itinenary Details

  • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

    Upon arrival, meet our representative and transfer to the hotel. Depending on arrival time, you have the option to stroll around the Thamel and Local streets of Kathmandu. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner with a typical traditional cultural show. Overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 2: Fly to Pokhara

    After breakfast, transfer to the domestic airport to board a flight to Pokhara. The option is also available to drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu ( 6hrs/208km). Upon arrival at Pokhara, transfer to your hotel. Your hotel is located in the popular Lakeside part of the city, right on the shore of the beautiful Phewa Lake, a perfect spot to shop, drink and dine. Later, we will have a one-hour boat ride in Phewa Lake. Meanwhile, we will also pay a visit to the Taal Barahi Temple, located in the center of the Lake. Next, we will hike to World Peace Pagoda, from where you will have the entire view of Pokhara and Phewa Lake. Then drive back to the hotel. The evening is free to stroll around the lakeside and visit the local market on your own. Overnight in Pokhara.

  • Day 3: Sarangkot & Pokhara

    This morning is the perfect opportunity to witness the beautiful Himalayan views (weather permitting). Rise early and drive to Sarangkot to watch the changing light catch the peaks of the Annapurna Himalayas-including the distinctive Machhapuchre mountain as the sun rises. Back to your hotel for breakfast, along the way, we will visit the old bazaar and Bindabasini temple located in the lap of Sarangkot. After breakfast and a short rest, set out to visit Gupteshwar cave, Devi's Falls, Seti George, Tibetan Refugee Camp, where you will see various handmade art and crafts made by the refugees. Then, we will visit the International Mountain Museum. The International Mountain Museum, exhibits famous peaks, mountaineers, the culture and lifestyle of mountain people. There will also be 18 min video documentary regarding mountain man. The total activities will be about 5-6 hours. Overnight in Pokhara.

  • Day 4: Fly to Kathmandu

    After breakfast, transfer to Pokhara domestic airport to board a flight to Kathmandu. On arrival, transfer to Bhaktapur, just a short distance in the suburbs of Kathmandu, a cultural gem of Nepal. Bhaktapur is the largest of the three ancient Newari Kingdoms in the Kathmandu Valley. The city is particularly known for its arts, culture, and the traditional lifestyles of its people. In this open museum, you will visit Durbar Square, the magnificent 55-window palace, surrounded by several pagodas and shikhara-style temples. We will continue to Taumadhi Square, home to the early 18th Century, five-storied Nyatapola Temple, the largest of its kind in the country. Similarly, visit the Dattatraya temple and the Golden gate. Bhaktapur is like stepping back in time with its heritage buildings, shrines, and vehicle-free cobblestone streets. Overnight in Bhaktapur.

  • Day 5: In Kathmandu

    Today, we will have a full-day guided tour of the Kathmandu valley. The visit includes Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples in Nepal. Then transfer to the center of Kathmandu to explore the ancient city of Kathmandu, full of art and craft. This includes Kathmandu Durbar Square, the Hanuman Dhoka, and Kumari temple. Here you will see the traditional art and craft along with the 12th - 17th-century Durbar Square built by the Malla King. If you have time, do not forget to walk towards the north of Kathmandu Durbar Square to Asan & Indrachowk. Here you will see the traditional open market and traditional houses from the 17th century, still have remained unchanged. Then drive 4 km west of Thamel to one of the oldest stupa, the Syambhunath stupa, known as monkey temple, as you will see the large number of monkeys surrounding the Stupa. This place is popular between Buddhists and Hindus equally. On top of that, you can have the entire Kathmandu valley view from the hilltop. After the visit, drive back to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day 6: Departure

    Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

My Name is EDhan from California, America. I am a retired management consultant. Basically, this visit to Nepal exceeded my expectations. We came here through Tibet and Bhutan. Here in Nepal, I like the neighbourhood and friendly people. My wife every day used to go for morning walk and used to tell me the story about the local people, whatever she sees every day. Especially, the guide was most knowledgeable and made it possible and get a sense of not only historical and religious value of some of the places but also some of the other places how the people live over there day to day.

The company was able to manage all the services smoothly and made the memorable trip in Kathmandu. Do not be afraid of Earthquake; the government has done very good job, lots of cleaning up and reconstructions are going on. There are many places to go without facing any problems. Feel free to make a trip to Nepal nothing to afraid of and you will feel the completely different and unique. Hi, My Name is Margo Boston, America. We were planning the trip to visit Nepal Bhutan and Tibet through our local agency. In the beginning, we asked so many questions about safety, especially after the earthquake but we realised that after visiting Nepal it is completely safe & worthful to visit.

We are very glad to see the beautiful country. Everything was perfect and great to see the Hinduism and Buddhism and combinations of religious and cultural aspects in the tiny little city. The trip plan, all the staff activity including cultural show was great.

Hi, My Name is Lori, and I came to do the trip with my daughter. After the earthquake had happened we were confused, what should we do, should we go or should we not go for Nepal Trip and finally we decided to come after the consultation, and we had a wonderful time there. The tour guide and driver and all the staff were done magnificent job. There is so much to see and worthful to visit. The hotel was excellent, the food was great, we enjoyed our time. The Buddhist and Hindu temple were fascinating. Our guide was brilliant and enhanced all experience and knowledge he passed all the knowledge to us and shared the ideas. I encourage you to visit Nepal it is one of the incredible places around the world.

Hi ! This is Palm from America, this is my first trip to Nepal and has been perfect and life time memorable. I have travelled many places around the world and really been looking forward to this trip. Nepal is a very colourful country, I was concerned because of the earthquake and because of the impact might right now. I was pleasantly surprised that yes they did have an impact and there are lots of reconstruction are going on. There are lots of places to see and open for the tourist. The people here are very friendly, all the staffs of Sixth Sense including tour guide and the management and coordination were perfect.

What I like this country is that the culture and diversity of landscape. Besides this Nepal is very vibrant country and colourful country. In the future, I would like to make more trips in Nepal with Sixth Sense spending more time in Kathmandu and it’s surrounding areas and countryside. For the tourist, I would recommend please do visit Nepal with Sixth Sense. Tour Guide and company which was responsible for everything to organise this trip, everything was taken care of all the arrangements were first class.
