Sales & SuppportTsum Valley Trekking is a situated in northern Gorkha, Nepal and considered as sacred Himalayan pilgrimage valley. The word Tsum comes from the Tibetan word Tsombo, which means vivid. Traditionally, Tsum valley was a distinct geographical area called Tsum Tso Chucksums, which means thirteen provinces ruled as a single territory. Against the majestic backdrop of the Ganesh Himal,Sringi Himal, Boudha Himal ranges, this serene Himalayan valley is rich in ancient art, culture and religion. The region once being part of Tibet looks completely different from what you will find elsewhere.The local people are mostly of Tibetan origin and speak their own dialect. The hidden valley is surrounded by the Boudha Himal and Himal chuli to the west, Ganesh Himal to the south and Sringi Himal to North.
Tsum Valley Trek trail heads upper Budi Gandaki River Valley through unexplored countryside inhabited by the Tibetan community. The valley is extensively rich in cultural and tradition dwelled with Buddhist monasteries, nunneries, chortens and prayer walls and significant religious monuments, the longest mani walls at Dzong and Phurpe are great attractions.
The region used to be restricted and just opened to foreign visitors in 2008. It is still less exposed, virgin & less beaten path in comparison to other popular touristy areas. In Upper Tsum Valley, “Tsumbo" welcomes you with traditional Tibetan Su Chiya (butter tea) and local food. It offers totally unspoiled culture and tradition of Tsumba with fabulous mountain view of Ganesh Himal Range, Sringi Himal, Bauddha Himal and many more spectacular views. The trek starts and ends at Arughat, a seven hours drive from Kathmandu.

Day 7: Lokpa trek to Chumling (Lower Tsum) (2,600m) 5hrs
Day 8: Chumling to Chokhangparo (Upper Tsum) (33,10 m) 5hrs

Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu (1300m)
Up on arrival meet and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, depending up your time you will have option to stroll around the local street and tourist market Thamel. Tonight you will be treated to a welcome dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant with folk dance and cultural performance.

Day 2: Drive Kathmandu to Arughat (600m) 6hrs
After breakfast start our journey driving from Kathmandu to Aarughat which is 128km from Kathmandu and will take approximately 6 hours. On the way you will pass through beautiful river view & Nepalese countryside to reach at Arughat, on the footsteps of Manasalu Himal. You will reach to Aarughat, Gorkha a medieval ancient village.
Arughat Bazzar is clustered on both sides of the River Budi-Gandaki linked by a suspension bridge, this is the largest settlement in the valley and it is also a junction to various important places.

Day 3: Arughat - Soti Khola (710 m) 5-6hrs
After breakfast, begin our trek following trail that past an ever changing picturesque paddy fields and Gurung villages. The walking today is fairly gentle and passes through views of Shringi Himal from Shanti Bazaar, Budhi Gandaki, suspension bridge, down to Soti Khola, and our camp amongst the landscapes of the famed Honey Hunters. The foothills of Central Nepal have, for generations, been famous for their twice-yearly harvests. When men gather from the surrounding villages to conduct advanterous task of collecting the honey of the Apis Laboriosa (the worlds largest honey bee) from the cliffs that are their home.

Day 4: Soti Khola - Maccha Khola (930 m) 5-6hrs
Continue our trekking after breakfast, the path from here passes through the steep valley, densely forested, a number of small villages, hillside, Burhi Gandaki river and many more spectacular views. In about 5-6 hours walking we reach to the Machha Khola
Overnight in Machha Khola.
Day 5: Maccha Khola - Jagat (1,350 m) 7hrs
After breakfast we start our trekking to Jagat. It will take about 7 hours trekking. The trail leads to remarkable farm villages and fields as the vegetation changes slowly, after crossing bridge and heading upstream to the tiny village of Kholabesi and the hot springs at Tatopani. Climb on a wide, well-crafted staircase, Cross to the west bank of the budhi gandaki, climb over a ridgeline, trek along the river then towards the village of Jagat and explore the Jagat village.

Day 6: Jagat - Lakpa (2,240m) 6hrs
Continue the trek to reach to the Lakpa which will take about 6 hours.The early part of trek moves gently uphill and then follows a flat leveled path passing through the suspension bridge over Budhi Gandaki & enter Gurung inhibited Philim village and reach to the Lakpa village which is the first village to enter the Tsum valley.

Day 7: Lokpa trek to Chumling (Lower Tsum) (2,600m) 5hrs
In the morning take an ascending route to reach to Chumling village which will take about 5 hours.. Chumling village is situated facing south of the Shingri Himal. This day you enjoy a pleasant, and interesting visit to the Gombas and explore the Chumling village.

Day 8: Chumling to Chokhangparo (Upper Tsum) (33,10 m) 5hrs
Trek from Chumling to Chokhangparo, takes about 5 hours and along the way passes through the suspension bridge on to the opposite bank, the great views of Ganesh Himal, Serpu Khola and arrive at the Gho Village. Further 2 hours continuous climbing we reach to Chhokangparo village of Upper Tsum valley, enjoy the views of Himalchuli (7893) meters and Ganesh Himal (7140m).

Day 9: Chokhangparo to Nile (3347 m) 5hrs
From Chhokanparo, we ascend to Lama Gaun crossing the monasteries and Gompa to reach to Nile, it will take approximately 5 hours. We climb the Milarepa’s Cave where you will visit Buddhist meditation centers. Trekking further through Phurbe and Pang, we eventually reach the village of Nile.

Day 10: Nile/Chhule to Mu Gompa (3700 m), 5hrs
In the morning visit Dhephyudonma Gompa (4060m) and takes 4-5 hrs. Continue walking to reach to the Mu Gompawalk. Mu Gompa is the largest monastery in the region and is located at the highest and most remote point of Tsum Valley.

Day 11: Mu Gompa - Rachen Gompa (3240m), 5hrs
Trek from Mu Gompa - Rachen Gompa, iake about 5 hours. Visit Gonhgye Gompa (Nyigma-pa Buddhist sect).
Overnight in Rachen Gompa,
Day 12: Rachen Gompa – Dumje (2460m) 5-6hrs
Trek from Rachen Gompa to Dumje (2460). Trekking time is approximately 5-6 hrs.
From here we are going to take slightly different way rather than getting the same way back.
Overnight in Dumje.
Day 13: Dumje – Gumpa Lungdang (3200m)
Continue trekking watching the greenery of nature and descend down to Gumpa Lungdang (3200m). Trekking time is approximately 4 hrs.

Day 14: Gumpa Lungdang – Lokpa (2,240m)
Continue descend down from Gumpa Lungdang to Lokpa which will take approximately 6-7 hrs.
Overnight at Lokpa.
Day 15: Lokpa – Jagat (1,350 m)
Trek from Lokpa – Jagat, trekking time is approximately 6-7 hrs.
Overnight in Jagat
Day 16: Jagat – Maccha Khola (900 m)
Trek from Jagat – Machha Khola, which will take approximately 5-6 hrs.
Overnight in Machha Khola.
Day 17: Machha Khola – Arughat
Trek from Machha Khola – Arughat, which will take approximately 6-7 hrs.
Overnight in Aarughat.
Day 18: Drive Aarughat to Kathmandu -7hrs
After breakfast in the morning, drive from Aarughat to Kathmandu which will take approximately 6-7 hours.

Day 19: Departure
You will be transferred to the airport by private vehicle according to your flight schedule.
