Shivapuri National park and Nagarjun Hill is one of the popular day hike National Parks & Hiltop station near by Kathmandu valley. Shivapuri is situated at the altitude of 2563m and 10km north of Kathmandu, which is the second highest hill around Kathmandu valley and it is the origin point of the Bagmati river. The total time hiking in Shivapuri is approximately 4-5 hours. Shivapuri one day trip offers wonderful Himalayan views of Langtang Himalayan views, Rolwaling Himalayan views, Kathmandu valley view, Budhanilkantha Temple, and Nangi Gompa.
In the morning after breakfast drive from Kathmandu to Shivapuri hill on the 10km north side of Kathmandu. After 20 minutes of driving, you will arrive at the Budhanilkantha Temple, 5 miles 9km north of Kathmandu. This temple is famous for the pond with a large statue of the Lord Vishnu. We also pass through Shivapuri Conservation area and visit the Nagi Gumba, a Buddhist monastery. It is a steep uphill hike along narrow trails that gradually lead up to Shivapuri. Continue on to pass by the starting point of the Bagmati River and your surroundings will beckon you to rest and enjoy the beauty of the forest.
After reaching the top of the hill we witness the spectacular picturesque view of snow clapped Himalayas surrounding the valley, meanwhile we will have our lunch. Then hike downhill approximately 2 hours and reach the Tibetian style Kopan Monastery. We end up our journey in Kapan and drive back to Kathmandu.

07:30 – Start hiking from south side of Shivapuri & Hike to Nagi Gompa, then towards to Shivapuri hill & Lunch at the hilltop
15:00 - Trek down to Kapan
17:00 - Drive back to Kathmandu
