Gokyo valley & Gokyo Ri trekking

The Gokyo valley and Gokyo Ri trekking is the most attractive classical in the Khumbu Region that has been specially designed for travelers who are eager to experience the magnificence of the Everest range avoiding too much mental and physical stress. Gokyo Ri; and Gokyo valley hiking option to 5th and 6th lakes as well as Cho Oyu Basecamp trekking are the alternative highlights of this trekking. The view from Gokyo is outstandinglystunning and offers more of the fabulous mountain than the views from Kalapattar. This trekking offers magnificent views of the mountain peaks and the Ngozumpa Glacier, which is the largest glacier of Himalayas in Nepal. One of the most remarkable features is the view of the tremendous ice ridge between Cho Oyu and Gyachung (2,922m) located in Khumbu region. The image of this region is associated with the soaring views of the most popular mountains in Nepalincluding Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu which are clearly visible from Gokyo Ri.

The trekking starts after the 30 minutes scenic breath taking flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Then we proceed to Phakding and next day trek to Namche Bazar and have acclimatization day on the following day. Passing through these villages, we also get a chance to have a look at the lifestyles of high altitude residents. We reach Gokyo enjoying the breathtaking beauty of Ngozumba Glacier, the largest of its kind in the Nepal Himalayas. After exploring the Gokyo, descend back to Dole, Namche Bazar, Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu.
